Go With the Ease and Flow

Sometimes it can be easy to get caught up in the stresses and challenges of daily life, and it can be tough to stay motivated and focused on your goals. In fact, willpower is an exhaustible resource. It’s worth repeating. Willpower is an exhaustible resource; it is not limitless. Therefore, ensure that you are using it on things that are most important to you. When you align your time, talent, and treasures with your personal values, authentic self, and life’s purpose and passions, that is where you gain the greatest results and stay in the state of ease and flow.

If something feels hard or continues to feel hard, then you must be missing something.

So, it's important to remember that when things feel difficult, then you have to ask yourself a few questions:

  • What is making this hard for me?

  • Is there another way? Explore alternative perspectives until you find as many ways as possible, at least three but push yourself to exhaust the possibilities. Remember, this is important to you. Nay, this is essential to you and who you are and are meant to be. There are hundreds of ways forward.

  • Is this truly aligned with my personal values? If not, what adjustments do I need to make?

  • If so, then what is the ease and flow path forward?

We all have the power to overcome obstacles and achieve success when that success is aligned with our personal values, our authentic self, and our best, purpose-driven life.

  • • One way to stay motivated is to set small, achievable goals for yourself. By breaking down larger goals into smaller, more manageable steps, you can make meaningful progress on your journey and feel a sense of accomplishment along the way. The compounding effect of achieving just 1% better every day is astounding: 37x. Take deliberate action, build momentum, and be inspired by your progress!

“Above all else, guard your heart for everything you do flows from it. - Proverbs 4:23

Another way to stay inspired is to surround yourself with positive influences. Your actions come from the things you think and believe.

  • • Surround yourself with people who support and encourage you.

  • • Proactively pursue personal growth, read and consume anything that stretches you to grow – skills, philosophy, language, meditation, mental fitness, etc.

  • • Limit your exposure to media that tries to control your thought pattern (e.g., news, social media, etc.), and purposefully feed your mind and soul instead.

  • • Seek out role models who embody the qualities and characteristics that you aspire to have.

Most importantly, don't be afraid to take risks and try new things. It's easy to get stuck in a rut and feel like you're stuck in a certain situation, but by stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something new, you can open yourself up to new opportunities, experiences, and gifts.

No matter where you are in your journey, never give up on you and your dreams. With hard work, determination, and a positive attitude, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.

Ease and flow is about doing what feels natural to you. It’s personal, deeply personal. When you do what you love, you never work a day in your life. That’s your path to ease and flow.
